Linternet Light For Peace
Linternet is a sustainable street lighting project which integrates wireless internet and the possibility of charging cell phones and small USB devices. It creates new, sustainable and affordable technologies that improve the quality of life for low income people worldwide, using solar technology.
Agreements with important corporations such as PepsiCo. The project began in early 2014, and now has more than 1,000 streetlights installed in 8 countries, including Ghana and Kenya. It has won several awards: Energy Globe, SEED, Accenture, MIT TR35, Stephan Schmidheiny.
To be a key player in communities affected by armed conflict; Light for Peace will take infrastructure development to communities in extreme poverty and conflict zones.
