DART is a technological solution for early detection of retina diseases, including the most common cause of blindness in the working-age population.
The company has positioned itself as the main player in tele-ophthalmology in Chile, with contracts with nine of the most important public healthcare services. DART project has received awards from MIT Technology Review, EURETINA, BBC Mundo and Gifted Citizen among others internationally, and has more than $272,000 in public funding. It has sales of $155,000 annually.
DART has just started a scaling strategy to begin operations internationally. DART is expected to be accredited as the first automated screening software to be validated for its use in Chile. It hopes to scale the same methodology to at least 3 other countries, and develop algorithms for new eye diseases very soon.
